Terms.
These Terms govern linger.day, the Linger TestFlight beta, and the Linger mobile application. By creating an account, joining the beta, purchasing membership, or using Linger, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
Who provides Linger
Linger is provided by UPRO AI PTE. LIMITED, 138 Robinson Road, #02-54, Oxley Tower, Singapore 068906. In these Terms, “Linger,” “we,” and “us” refer to that company.
You must be at least 17 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. You are responsible for keeping your account and sign-in methods secure and for activity performed through your account.
What Linger is
Linger is an evening correspondence with Soren through messages, voice notes, letters, Calls, memories, and Scenes. Availability follows product state, Lisbon time, and the service’s relationship rules. Replies, letters, or Calls are not guaranteed at a particular time.
Soren and Linger’s generated content may be incomplete, fictional, inaccurate, or unexpected. Linger is an expressive entertainment and relationship experience. It is not medical care, therapy, emergency support, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for a human professional. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
The August TestFlight beta
The initial beta is distributed through TestFlight for iPhone, worldwide in English. We plan to open it in August 2026 but do not promise a specific day. Android and additional languages may follow later.
The beta has 500 places. To use the beta promotion, you must install the TestFlight build, join the WhatsApp Community to obtain the shared code, and successfully activate that code in Linger. Joining WhatsApp does not reserve a place. The shared code stops accepting new activations after 500 successful uses or if we close the beta for safety, technical, or operational reasons.
A successful beta code activation grants 30 days of Linger membership at no charge. This is a Linger promotion, not an Apple subscription trial. It does not charge your App Store account and does not change Apple’s decision about eligibility for a later App Store trial. Leaving the WhatsApp Community does not revoke an already activated 30-day period.
TestFlight builds can expire, change, contain errors, lose data, or become unavailable. We may limit features, pause the beta, issue replacement builds, or remove access to protect users and the service.
Membership, trial, and cancellation
The standard App Store membership is $59.99 per month, subject to Apple’s displayed local currency, taxes, and pricing. Eligible accounts receive three days free under Apple’s subscription-offer rules. Apple determines trial eligibility. The beta’s 30 free days and Apple’s three-day trial are separate benefits.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before renewal. Apple processes payment, refunds, and subscription management under its terms. Cancelling stops future renewal and normally leaves access active through the paid period. Deleting the Linger app or account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it in Apple subscription settings as well.
Promotional or discounted memberships may have additional eligibility, version, capacity, and expiry conditions shown when offered. Promotions cannot be exchanged for cash, stacked unless stated, or transferred between accounts.
Diamonds and in-app purchases
Diamonds are limited, non-transferable in-app units used by Linger features. They have no monetary value, are not currency, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be sold or transferred. Consumable purchases are processed by Apple. Restoring a subscription does not duplicate past consumable diamond purchases.
We may correct a balance affected by fraud, duplicate delivery, refund, chargeback, or technical error. We will not remove legitimately acquired diamonds merely because a membership ends, except where required by Apple, law, or these Terms.
Calls and recording consent
Calls use live audio and may consume network data. By accepting these Terms and starting or answering a Call, you consent to transcription and separate recording of the user and Soren audio channels as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not use Calls where recording is prohibited or where another person can be recorded without their knowledge or permission. You are responsible for your environment and for complying with local recording law. If you do not consent, do not start or answer a Call.
Your content
You retain rights you have in messages, letters, photographs, voice notes, and other material you provide. You grant Linger a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, transform, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support Linger and to comply with law.
You must have the right to submit your content. Do not upload unlawful content, private information belonging to someone else without permission, malware, or material that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
Public Scene links
Creating a public Scene link intentionally publishes an unlisted snapshot. Anyone with the link can access, copy, and reshare it. Noindex is a request to search engines, not an access control. Do not create or share a public link containing content you are not prepared for link recipients to keep.
Public Scene links are long-lived and are not automatically removed when you delete your account. There is no self-service revocation in the current version. We may block links for safety or legal reasons. Legal removal requests can be sent to privacy@linger.day.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- use Linger for illegal, exploitative, threatening, or abusive activity;
- attempt to harm, stalk, impersonate, or expose another person;
- probe, scrape, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or bypass security or access controls;
- automate access or create accounts, promotion claims, purchases, or redemptions deceptively;
- interfere with TestFlight capacity or share redemption access for resale;
- upload malware or content you do not have a right to use; or
- use Linger output as authoritative professional advice or to make high-risk decisions about another person.
We may investigate abuse, restrict features, suspend accounts, remove unlawful content, or terminate access where reasonably necessary. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal by contacting support@linger.day.
Availability and changes
Linger is evolving. We may add, change, pause, or remove features, providers, prices, capacity, or platform support. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular response, a specific beta date, permanent TestFlight availability, or release on every platform.
We may end the beta or service. If a paid service is discontinued, mandatory consumer and App Store rights continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived in your country.
Account deletion
You may request deletion in the app. Your account enters a 30-day deletion process and active sessions are revoked. During that period, private account data is removed or anonymized as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal and transaction-retention duties. Public Scene snapshots are handled separately and may remain available.
Intellectual property
Linger, the window mark, wordmark, software, visual design, original writing, audio, and other service materials belong to UPRO AI PTE. LIMITED or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use Linger for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Linger’s intellectual property.
You may link to linger.day and share screenshots that do not expose another person’s private data. Do not use Linger’s brand in a way that suggests endorsement or ownership without permission.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Linger is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that generated content will be accurate, suitable, uninterrupted, or free of errors. You remain responsible for decisions you make and content you share.
To the extent permitted by law, UPRO AI PTE. LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, loss of data, emotional expectation, lost profits, or third-party conduct arising from Linger. Our total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Linger in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law or for fraud, wilful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by negligence where law requires otherwise.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may allow you to bring a claim in another forum or apply additional protections.
Before filing a formal claim, contact support@linger.day so we can try to resolve it. This does not limit a right to seek urgent relief or use a mandatory consumer process.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Linger changes. Material changes will be identified by a new date and, where appropriate, an in-app or email notice. Continuing to use Linger after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, unless applicable law requires another form of consent.
